39 HONORARY ALDERMAN: CONFERMENT GRAHAM NORMAN

RESOLVED that in pursuance of Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council do confer upon

Graham Leslie Norman

the title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, a most honourable distinction which it is the privilege of the Council to bestow, in appreciation and acknowledgement of the eminent services rendered by him to the Council from 1986 until 2015 as Councillor and as Deputy Mayor in 2003/4, and as an expression of the high esteem in which he is held by the Council.
 
40 HONORARY ALDERMAN: CONFERMENT JOHN MEECH

RESOLVED that in pursuance of Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council do confer upon

John Alastair Meech FInst. SMM

the title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, a most honourable distinction which it is the privilege of the Council to bestow, in appreciation and acknowledgement of the eminent services rendered by him to the former Reigate Borough Council from 1970 to 1974; and this Borough from 1974 to 1979 and 1992 and 2008 as Councillor and as Deputy Mayor in 2002/3 and 2004/5, and as an expression of the high esteem in which he is held by the Council.
 
41 CEREMONY OF PRESENTATION: ARRANGEMENTS

RESOLVED that authority be provided to make all arrangements in connection with the ceremony of presentation, and any reasonable expenditure in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972, Section 249(6) to be held on 14 April 2016.
