Councillor Bray sent an apology for absence, Councillor Whinney attended as her substitute. An apology for absence was also received from Councillor Walsh.

Councillor McKenna declared a non-pecuniary interest in item 6 of the agenda, Reigate College, as his daughter attends the college. Councillor McKenna remained in the meeting and voted on this item.

The Committee considered an application at Salfords Village Store, 21 Brighton Road, Salfords for the Demolition of the existing buildings and erection of a building comprising 6 flats with parking and a new access. As amended on 05/10/2020, 06/10/2020, 14/10/2020, 03/11/2020 and on 09/11/2020.

RESOLVED that, subject to completion of a Section 106 legal agreement, planning permission be GRANTED with conditions, as per the recommendation.

RESOLVED that planning permission be GRANTED subject to conditions as per the recommendation and addendum.

Proposed extension to Wray Common Conservation area

To designate the proposed extension to Wray Common Conservation Area followed by consultation on the designation.

The Committee considered a report to designate an extension to Wray Common Conservation Area followed by consultation on the designation.

 

RESOLVED that the Committee;

 

      i.        Supports the recommendation that Alvington House and Alvington Cottage at 59 and 61 and the Reigate Stone boundary wall and brick pier to 63 to 75 (odd) Wray Park Road, Reigate, be included in the Wray Common Conservation Area as delineated on the plan in Appendix 1 to the report and designated as an extension to the Conservation Area, under sections 69 and 70 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.

 

    ii.        Authorises Officers to formally consult on the extension of Wray Common Conservation Area following designation and report these views back to the Planning Committee for further consideration.
