The Mayor acknowledged the many engagements he had undertaken since taking up his role including a 103rd birthday celebration, a performance by Banstead Prep School and a Surrey Youth Arts Event. Councillor Ashford and the Community Partnership Team were thanked for inviting the Mayor to the latter.

 

The Mayor thanked all those involved in making his Civic Service a success including Reverend Gill Long and Scouts Anthony Squibb and Benjamin Squibb who gave an entertaining performance. The Deputy Mayor was thanked for attending the Armed Forces service.

 

Further information about the Mayor’s events would be forthcoming. Members were encouraged to attend those in their wards and in order to facilitate this to contact the Mayor’s Office. The celebration of the Volunteer Award nominees and winners was anticipated on 26 September 2023. Reigate Town Hall would be open as part of the Heritage Open Day festival on 9 September 2023. This would also be the date for Pride in Surrey.
