To agree the appointment of Chairman for the municipal year 2019-20.

RESOLVED that Councillor R. S. Turner be appointed as Chair for the 2019-20 municipal year.

To agree the appointment of Vice-Chairman for the municipal year 2019-20.

RESOLVED that Councillor N. D. Harrison be appointed as Vice-Chair for the 2019-20 municipal year.

To confirm as a correct record the minutes of the previous meeting.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the previous meeting held on 11^th April 2019 be confirmed and signed as a correct record.

To receive any declarations of interest.

There were no declarations of interest.

To consider any item(s) which, in the opinion of the Chair, should be considered as a matter of urgency – Local Government Act 1972, Section 100B (4) (b),

(Note: Urgent business must be submitted in writing but may be supplemented by an oral update).

Members referenced the minutes of the Standards Committee meeting held on 25^th June 2018 and sought to improve the transparency of those complaints which were not brought to the Standards Committee. With this in mind, the Committee expressed a desire to review the Code of Conduct and terms of reference of the Standards Committee, in view of the recent appointment of the Monitoring Officer.
