77 HONORARY ALDERMAN: CONFERMENT BRIAN COWLE

RESOLVED that in pursuance of Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council do confer upon


Brian Christopher Cowle


the title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, a most honourable distinction which it is the privilege of the Council to bestow, in appreciation and acknowledgement of the eminent services rendered by him to the Council from 1983 until 1991 and from 1993 to 2012 as Councillor and as Mayor in 1999/2000, and as an expression of the high esteem in which he is held by the Council.
 
78 CEREMONY OF PRESENTATION: ARRANGEMENTS

RESOLVED that authority be provided to make all arrangements in connection with the ceremony of presentation, and any reasonable expenditure in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972, Section 249(6) to be held on 25 May 2017.
