An e-Petition is a petition which collects signatures online. This allows petitions and supporting information to be made available to a potentially much wider audience than a traditional paper based petition.
Anyone who lives, works or studies in the Reigate and Banstead Borough can submit or sign an e-Petition.
All petitions that are submitted to this website will be accepted, as long as they are in accordance with our terms and conditions as set out within the Council's Petition Scheme. The aim is to enable as many people as possible to make their views known.
There are two tiers of local government in Surrey. Some services are the responsibility of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council (e.g. housing and rubbish collection.), whilst others are undertaken by Surrey County Council (social care, transport and roads).
Your petition will only be valid if it is submitted to the correct authority. You can check which authority is responsible for the service(s) your petition is about by going to Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and Surrey County Council’s websites. If your petition is for a Surrey County Council matter, you can submit it via their petitions page.
To ensure transparency, any petition that cannot be accepted will be listed, along with the reasons why.
