Current ePetitions

An e-Petition is a petition which collects signatures online. This allows petitions and supporting information to be made available to a much wider audience than a traditional paper petition.

Please note that to be eligible to submit a petition you must be on the Electoral Register for Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, in accordance with Article 3 of the Council’s Constitution. The petition scheme will be amended to reflect this requirement.

All petitions that are submitted to this website will be accepted, as long as they are in accordance with Article 3 of the Council's Constitution and our terms and conditions set out in the Council's Petition Scheme.

There are two tiers of local government in Surrey. Some services are the responsibility of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council (e.g. housing and rubbish collection), whilst others are undertaken by Surrey County Council (social care, transport and roads).

Your petition will only be valid if it is submitted to the correct authority. You can check which authority is responsible for the service(s) your petition is about by going to Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and Surrey County Council’s websites. If your petition is for a Surrey County Council matter, you can submit it via their petitions page.

To ensure transparency, any petition that cannot be accepted will be listed, along with the reasons why.
