The Reigate & Banstead Core Strategy was
adopted in July 2014. Recent changes in planning legislation
require that local plan documents such as the Core Strategy are
subject to review within 5 years of their adoption. The report sets
out the conclusions of a review of the adopted Core Strategy, which
has been undertaken in accordance with the Planning Practice
Guidance. The Council will be asked to approve the conclusions of
the review.

In accordance with the legislation, the review must be completed within 5 years of the date of adoption of the Core Strategy, i.e. by 3rd July 2019. The review must be subject to the approval of the Full Council as the Core Strategy forms part of the Policy Framework.
